Quartz and Corian are the materials which have gained the most popularity in recent years. Both are manufactured materials with impressive resistance to staining. They are most often used for kitchen worktops, but they can be also successfully installed for bathroom work surfaces. 1. They are both manufactured

Quartz is also a manufactured material, made as a combination of 90% or higher natural quartz and up to 10% resins. They are produced in different ways which has an impact on many characteristics of both materials.

Corian is a material that burns quite easily. You will have to make sure not to leave hot objects, like hairdryers, directly on it. Quartz is on the other hand, more resistant to heat and it will not get burns that easily. However, it is best to use mats with both, to prevent any staining from happening.
Corian is a nice cheaper alternative to stones, but it is not as high-quality and durable as them.
