Proper maintenance and cleaning the quartz countertop will ensure that they are shining like the day you have them installed. Here, we are bringing you simple tips and tricks that will make your Classic Quartz Stone countertops look as good as new, even after many years.

1. Daily cleaning

For day to day cleaning, quartz is very appreciative. Daily clean up is easily handled, with just soap, water and a soft rag. You can use mild detergent too. Wipe the countertops once a day, if possible.

2. Deep cleaning

Occasionally, you should use a glass cleaner to clean the countertops deeply. Spray the cleaner on your quartz countertops, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rinse it off with a wet cloth.

3. Avoid harsh cleaners

Highly acidic and alkaline cleaning agents can damage the quartz surface. Cleansers to avoid are oven cleaner, bleach, drain cleaners, dishwasher rinsing agents, trichloroethane or methylene chloride. If such cleaners come in contact with your countertops, neutralize its effect by rinsing it off with water.

4. Removing grease

Use a degreasing cleaner that does not contain bleach. Spray your slabs with it and rinse off with a wet cloth.

5. Removing stains

Even though quartz is highly stain resistant, some liquids like coffee or wine can leave a stain if not removed on time. Use an adhesive remover to clean up such stains. Pour a bit of cleaner on the stain, let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Then remove the stain with a soft cloth. Once the stain is removed, clean the countertops with warm water. Your slabs should be as good as new if you follow these steps.

6. Removing dried dunk

Use a putty knife to remove hardened spills or buildup. Use a wet cloth to remove any marks of the residue.

7. Remove the spills as soon as possible

To avoid stains, clean the spills with hot water and soap as soon as possible. Pay special attention to wipe up spilt coffee, wine and tea immediately, because these liquids can leave a permanent stain if not removed on time.

8. Use a cutting board

Although quartz is highly scratch resistant, it is not scratch proof. Using a cutting board will also prevent unnecessary scratches, but also avoid dulling the knives.

Following these simple steps will make sure that your quartz countertops shine and look as good as new even after many years of use. You will not have to worry about replacement with it for a significant amount of time- not only that this material is very durable, but its beauty won’t fade over time. Investing in quartz countertops is a smart move you will not regret.
